Two traditional Swedish companies, Märta Måås-Fjätterström (100 years) and younger Swedese (50 years), unite around a unique exhibition featuring Claesson Koivisto Rune, who have designed products for both of them. Went to the opening at Swedese show room on Narvavägen i Stockholm the other night, where we also could see the new red carped produced by Märta Måås-Fjätterström, a continuation of the carpet Pixel, which Claesson Koivisto Rune designed for the a few years back, where the colours were a graphic adaptation of special sound waves ( from the ocean if I remember right in their first grey version). Anyway, we see more and more examples of established designers, working with respect and joy with traditional companies. As for Swedese, one of our strongest contemporary furniture design companies, they have a long standing collaboration with Claesson Koivisto Rune, especially with Mårten Claesson, who is behind several of their success story furniture.
