Slutlig layout i Milanomontern - Swedish Love Stories 12-17 april

We want our visitors to feel welcome into our stand in Milano, at the same time as we try to combine maximum exposure for the individual companies and designers. The furniture we display should all be possible to use, to sit on, to enjoy for the guests of the exhibition. Welcome home is the theme, and the aim with the atmosphere which the industrial design company NoPicnic has created for our exhibition Swedish Love Stories to open in Superstudio Píu in Milan on April 12. A floating barn, and islands of the Swedish archipelago. See more on www.svenskform.se

No Picnic makes the concept for Swedish Love Stories in Milano

No Picnic's new head quarters on Storgatan in Östermalm are absolutely amazing!! Too bad I cannot take any pictures yet, since it has to be ready first, but then we will really show it all to you. Lots of space for work, meetings, show room, party rooms. Great architecture and design. Sam Peters walks around with a coffee cup in his hand supervising the architects and workers, and looking pretty satisfied by now. Always a big undertaking. Anyway, we went to have a planning meeting for our Swedish Love Stories project for Milan 12-17 of April. No Picnic makes the overall concept - a Swedish red barn and the toptgraphy of the Western Coast - all to fit the nature, romance, materials and industry of Sweden. Young Sebastian Sabouné is the project coordinator and Victor Peters and Horst Petri are the architects. Good and constructive meeting. Now Caroline, our project manager, will go to Göteborg to follow up the Västra Götaland exhibition, the region that will be in focus this time around.

Swedish Love Stories in Milano 2011: Welcome Home

Took a trip over the day with Ryanair to Milan yesterday, for some urgent meetings to prepare for our big event in Milano in April 2011. Architect Ulf Linder from White Architects, representing the exhibition to be hosted Västra Götalandsregionen, Sebastian Sabouné from Nopicnic working with the overall concept of the Swedish Love Stories edition 2011, and Katrin Greiling, designer and architect, having worked with us in Tokyo for our earlier projects, and might join us later. We flew down, went to Superstudio, looked at our big beautiful Swedish Pavillion 900 square meters, met with Volvo Trucks and the Superstudio Group. Now we are ON!!!  Only money and content left!!! We are not so worried about content, lots of good design, more about the money as usual. Back to bed in Stockholm at 2.00

The Daylight Swedish Pavillion at Superstudio Píu 900 square meters - lots of possibilities

Yes!!! I discovered a water pipe, so you can actually connect to running water - which was a big problem last time. Now we are talking!
