Had a nice visit at our offices at Skeppsholmen the other day with the energetic and tireless founders of the new Showroom Göte Göta in Shanghai, Yongyan Liu and Maria Forssén, who also started a social network for business women Shenet, both in Stockholm and in Shanghai. Maria has been running a showroom  fashion and art related business for years in Kungsträdgården, and since Yongyan started Shenet in Shanghai, they also saw the need for a showroom for Swedish designers in Shanghai. Yongyan is a succesful branding consulting with her on firm Kenex. From the web of the new show room you can read the intention:

Göte Göta are 2 ancient Nordic names for a man and a woman, symbolizing heritage and authenticity. Göte Göta represents more than 30 Scandinavian designers. Through fashion exhibitions and fashion activities which are either inspiring, avant-garde,experimental or functional, Göte Göta is making the cross-over from fashion to art into reality, showcasing the wearable art from Scandinavian.Göte Göta is a completely new concept for showcasing Scandinavian designers to the world, it is also a place for inspiration and creation. Fashion lovers can come to see a fashion exhibition, shop work pieces from the designers they like, take part in auctions, meet the designers, or just simply come to enjoy a cup of Swedish coffee…
