Branobel History Project

Möt de mera okända bröderna Ludwig och Robert Nobel i en utställning på Myntkabinettet över deras industriella historia med företaget Branobel i Azerbajan. Väl så framgångsrika och stora som brodern Alfred. Våra samarbetspartners, Centrum för Näringslivshistoria inbjöd i går till ett seminarium och visning av utställningen, i samarbete med ekonomimuseet, och för att presentera det arbete som pågår med att digitalisera och arkivera material som finns om detta historiska projekt.  CfN har redan digitaliserat material från Sverige, med hjälp af Stiftelsen Olle Enkvist Byggmästare, och forstätter nu i det stora arkiv som finns i Azerbaijan. Denna historiska website planeras öppna i mitten av sommaren. Jag åker idag till CfN för att planera för fortsättningen av vårt gemensamma historiska digitala designarkiv www.designarkiv.se och uppstarten av en helt ny open source webb över samtida svensk design. Jättespännande!

We all know of the history of the famous Alfred Nobel, his dynamite and his testament to start the international Nobel Prize, in the end of the 19th century.  Less known in the amazing story of his brothers Ludwig and Robert, and their industrial development in Azerbaijan, St Petersburg etc.  Center for Business History in Stockholm is working on digitalizing the archives of the Branoil history in Baku, and the web site will open this summer. An exhibition on the Oil Histor in Azeerbaijan can be seen at the Economy Museum in Stockholm right now.
